Security and privacy

What protects your data, plainly

Every point on this page describes how the product works. Where something depends on us hosting the instance, the point says so. At the end we also list what we do not claim.

What Argos does for your data

  • One instance per customer

Each customer gets their own instance and their own database. There is no database shared between customers.

  • Two-factor sign-in on the console

Operator accounts can require a second factor from an authenticator app (TOTP). Each operator gets recovery codes in case they lose their phone.

  • Security audit log

A separate log records sign-ins, second-factor events, screen access, remote control and terminal use. Every line carries a date and the operator.

  • Access by our team

No one on our team enters a customer's instance without written authorization from their company. Console sign-ins are recorded in the security audit log.

  • Minimal captures

Applications you exclude are never captured. You can also limit titles to the application name only, without the window title.

  • Monitoring notice with acknowledgment

The monitoring notice is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, each employee sees the notice and confirms they read it, and the acknowledgment is recorded per employee.

  • "On a call" without recording audio

To show whether someone is on a call, Argos checks whether the microphone is in use. It does not record or store audio.

  • Configurable capture retention

Captures are kept for 30 days by default. The period can be adjusted per customer.

  • Encrypted backups per customer

On instances we host ourselves, each one has its own encrypted backup, with a copy stored off the server. An automatic restore test checks that the backup can be opened.

  • Encrypted traffic

On instances we host ourselves, the console and the monitored PCs connect over HTTPS.

What we do not claim

We would rather you know before you buy.
